Yet the break was not complete, for in his work as a film-maker he continued to draw on the skills he had learned as a photographer.

	Einige andere KünstlerInnen fingen ebenfalls in den 1990-ern wieder an dokumentarische und Videokunststile zu verbinden wie Angela Melitopolous in "Passing Drama" (1999), oder kommen ganz vom Dokumentarfilm und lassen sich durch essayistische Formen oder inhaltlich-medienreflexive Momente auch der Videokunst zuordnen, wie Stanislav Mucha mit "Ein Wunder" aus dem Jahr 2000 und Harun Farocki, der neben seiner Karriere als politischer Dokumentar- und Essay-Filmemacher mit Werken wie "Nicht löschbares Feuer" (1969) seit Ende der 90er immer öfter auch mit Installationen ("Ich glaubte Gefangene zu sehen", 2000 oder "Auge / Maschine", 2001) auf (Medienkunst-) Ausstellungen und -Festivals zu finden ist. Examples are Stanislav Mucha, with Ein Wunder (2000) and Harun Farocki, who not only has made a career as a political documentary and essay film-maker with works such as Inextinguishable Fire (1969), but whose installations have also been shown increasingly at (media art) exhibitions and festivals since the late nineties (I thought I was Seeing Convicts, 2000, or Eye/Machine, 2001).
