[EU]	On 28 May 2009, the Commission and the Member States received the scientific opinion from the Authority which concluded that on the basis of the data presented, a cause and effect relationship had been established between the consumption of WSTC I and II and helping to maintain normal platelet aggregation.
	Aufgrund der Stellungnahme der Europäischen Behörde für Lebensmittelsicherheit (EFSA, nachstehend "die Behörde") hinsichtlich der Wirkung des wasserlöslichen Tomatenkonzentrats (Water-Soluble Tomato Concentrate - WSTC) I und II auf die Blutplättchenaktivität bei gesunden Menschen (Frage Nr. EFSA-Q-2009-00229) wurde mit dem Beschluss 2009/980/EU der Kommission [3] die gesundheitsbezogene Angabe genehmigt, derzufolge Water Soluble Tomato Concentrate (Wasserlösliches Tomatenkonzentrat - WSTC) I und II die normale Blutplättchenaggregation fördert und zu einem gesunden Blutfluss beiträgt. [EU]	Following the opinion of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), hereinafter referred to as the Authority, on the effects of Water-Soluble Tomato Concentrate (WSTC) I and II on the blood platelet activity in healthy people (Question No EFSA-Q-2009-00229) [2], the health claim stating that Water-Soluble Tomato Concentrate (WSTC) I and II 'helps maintain normal platelet aggregation, which contributes to healthy blood flow' was authorised by Commission Decision 2009/980/EU [3].
	Gemäß Artikel 16 Absatz 4 der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 1924/2006 wurde in den Beschluss 2009/980/EU zudem folgende Verwendungsbedingung für die genannte gesundheitsbezogene Angabe aufgenommen: "Hinweis an den Verbraucher, dass die positive Wirkung erreicht wird, wenn täglich 3 g WSTC I oder 150 mg WSTC II in bis zu 250 ml Fruchtsaft, aromatisierten Getränken oder Trinkjoghurts (sofern nicht stark pasteurisiert) eingenommen werden." [EU]	Pursuant to Article 16(4) of Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006, Decision 2009/980/EU included the following condition of use of that health claim: 'Information to the consumer that the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily consumption of 3 g WSTC I or 150 mg WSTC II in up to 250 ml of either fruit juices, flavoured drinks or yogurt drinks (unless heavily pasteurised)'.

	Nach einem Antrag von Provexis Natural Products Ltd. gemäß Artikel 13 Absatz 5 der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 1924/2006, übermittelt am 7. Januar 2009, wurde die Behörde ersucht, eine Stellungnahme zu einer gesundheitsbezogenen Angabe hinsichtlich der Wirkung des wasserlöslichen Tomatenkonzentrats (Water-Soluble Tomato Concentrate - WSTC) I und II auf die Blutplättchenaktivität bei gesunden Menschen abzugeben (Frage Nr. EFSA-Q-2009-00229). [EU]	Following an application from Provexis Natural Products Ltd, submitted on 7 January 2009 pursuant to Article 13(5) of Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006, the Authority was required to deliver an opinion on a health claim related to the effects of water-soluble tomato concentrate (WSTC) I and II on the blood platelet activity in healthy people (Question No EFSA-Q-2009-00229) [2].
