Werden die in Absatz 1 genannten Waren nach Ablauf der in Absatz 2 vorgesehenen Frist für die vorübergehende Verbringung nicht in die Landesteile der Republik Zypern zurückgebracht, in denen die Regierung der Republik Zypern keine tatsächlichen Kontrolle ausübt, so werden sie von den Zollbehörden der Republik Zypern beschlagnahmt [EU]

If the goods referred to in paragraph 1, are not returned to the areas of the Republic of Cyprus in which the Government of the Republic of Cyprus does not exercise effective control on the expiry of the period of temporary introduction provided for under paragraph 2, they shall be subject to confiscation by the customs authorities of the Republic of Cyprus.

In the event of goods originating in the Areas being transferred to other Member States, their previous entry into the areas under the effective control of the Government shall be treated as having been an importation of goods in accordance with Article 7 of Council Directive 77/388/EEC [6] for which the owner of the goods or any other person designated or accepted as being liable by the Government of the Republic of Cyprus shall be liable for the payment of import VAT in accordance with Article 21(4) of that Directive.Article 7
