[EU] This is mainly due to the fact that the Community industry invested heavily in processing capacities of certain types of SiC destined to new applications fields such as diesel particle filters.

Das Ziel des geförderten Vorhabens ist es, neben dem Werk IBIDEN DPF France S.A.S., das im Jahr 2001 gegründet wurde, ein zweites Werk zur Herstellung von Keramiksubstraten für Diesel-Partikelfilter innerhalb der Keramiksparte der Fa. IBIDEN in der Europäischen Union zu errichten. [EU] The aided project aims to set up the second production plant within IBIDEN's ceramics division of ceramic substrates for Diesel Particulate Filters in the European Union, besides IBIDEN DPF France S.A.S. in France (set up in 2001).

Die Anmeldung bezieht sich auf die zweite Stufe eines Investitionsvorhabens, dessen Ziel es ist, ein neues Fertigungswerk für die Herstellung von Keramiksubstraten für Diesel-Partikelfilter im Gewerbepark in Dunavarsány zu errichten. [EU] The notification concerns the second phase of an investment project, which aims to set up a plant to produce ceramic substrates for Diesel Particulate Filters in the Dunavarsány Industrial Park.

Im Hinblick darauf bemerkt die Kommission, dass sich die beiden Investitionsstufen auf dieselbe Betriebsstätte (Gewerbepark Dunavarsány, Mittelungarn), auf dasselbe Unternehmen (IBIDEN HU) und auf dasselbe Produkt (Keramiksubstrate für Diesel-Partikelfilter) beziehen und die Arbeiten der einzelnen Vorhaben innerhalb eines dreijährigen Zeitraums begonnen haben (Stufe 1 im Jahr 2004, Stufe zwei im Jahr 2005). [EU] In this regard the Commission observes that the two investment phases concern the same production site (the Dunavarsány Industrial Park, the region of Central Hungary), the same company (IBIDEN HU), the same product (ceramic substrates for Diesel Particulate Filters) and the start of works on each project were commenced within a period of three years (the first phase started in 2004, while the second phase started in 2005).

Laut den von Ungarn über die beiden Investitionsstufen vorgelegten Informationen werden die Keramiksubstrate für Diesel-Partikelfilter in zwei im Gewerbepark Dunavarsány neu errichteten Gebäuden mit einer Grundfläche von 24000 m2 bzw. 30900 m2 hergestellt. [EU] According to the information provided by the Hungarian authorities on the two investment phases, the production of ceramic substrates for Diesel Particulate Filters will take place in two newly built buildings of 24000 m2 and 30900 m2 respectively in the Dunavarsány Industrial Park.

Ungarn beabsichtigt, die regionale Entwicklung durch eine regionale Investitionsbeihilfe für die Errichtung eines neuen Fertigungswerks der Firma IBIDEN Hungary Gyártó Kft. - in dem Keramiksubstrate für Diesel-Partikelfilter hergestellt werden sollen - in der Region Mittelungarn (Komitat Pest) im Gewerbepark in Dunavarsány zu fördern. Diese Region gilt als Fördergebiet nach Artikel 87 Absatz 3 Buchstabe a EG-Vertrag mit einer Beihilfeintensität von 40 % Nettosubventionsäquivalent (NSÄ) für den Zeitraum 2004-2006. [EU] The Hungarian authorities intend to promote regional development by providing regional investment aid to IBIDEN Hungary Gyártó Kft. for the setting up of a new manufacturing plant for the production of ceramic substrates for Diesel Particulate Filters in the Dunavarsány Industrial Park, in the region of Central Hungary (Pest County), which is an assisted area in accordance with Article 87(3)(a) of the EC Treaty with an aid intensity ceiling of 40 % Net Grant Equivalent (NGE) for the period 2004-2006 [4].
