[G]	The battle to tighten up copyrights on the one hand and the demand for common property on the other were more strongly reflected at international conferences and festivals at the beginning of the new millennium, such as the conference Wizards of Os 3: The Future of Digital Commons, held in Berlin in 2004 or the Sixth Werkleitz Biennale Common Property. After taking place in the country villages of Tornitz and Werkleitz for ten years, the 2004 Werkleitz Biennale convened in Halle (Saale), the metropolis of Saxony-Anhalt.

	Der von der Werkleitz Gesellschaft e.V. - Zentrum für künstlerische Bildmedien Sachsen-Anhalt initiierte European Media Artists in Residence Exchange bietet europäischen MedienkünstlerInnen ein zweimonatiges Projektstipendium an verschiedenen europäischen Medienkunst-Institutionen. [G]	The European Media Artists in Residence Exchange, initiated by the Werkleitz Society's Centre for Artistic Picture Media Saxony-Anhalt, offers European media artists a two-month project scholarship at a number of European media art institutions.
	Eines meiner persönlichen Lieblingsfestivals ist das Dokumentarfilm und Videofest Kassel, das jedes Jahr mit einer hochkarätigen Auswahl aus beiden Sektoren glänzt, und natürlich bietet auch der Osten Deutschlands etwas zu entdecken: Die Werkleitz Biennale stellt Medienkunst zusammen mit anderen Kunstformen zu wechselnden Kontexten vor. [G]	One of my personal favourites is the Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival, which shows an outstanding selection of works from these two fields each year, and, of course, there is also something to discover in the east of Germany. The Werkleitz Biennale presents media art in combination with other art forms in changing contexts.
