[G]	The cloth was also used in 1989/90 when Stefan Moses was commissioned by the Berlin-based German Historical Museum to set off once again - together with his wife, Else Bechteler, herself a well-known weaver -- to produce the East German Portraits cycle, creating a photographic record of East Germans in the period after the Wall came down.
	Nach dem Fall der Berliner Mauer und dem Abbau der Grenzanlagen der DDR 1989/90 entstand die Idee, das Denkmal auf der freigewordenen Brachfläche in den früheren Ministergärten zu errichten.
