Another pioneer in the ecotextiles sector was Heinz Hess, who was selling healthy natural clothing for children and babies as early as the 1970s. He promptly dispensed with formaldehyde, moth-proofing and synthetic resin and, since the 1990s, has presented collections which match conventional fashions on colour and design - although not on price.
