[EU]	By letter dated 21 February 2003, the French authorities reacted to those comments by stating, first, that most of the points made by the SNPIET should be declared inadmissible because they did not concern the formal investigation procedure that had been initiated and, second, that the SNPIET had not brought any new fact concerning the procedure to the Commission's attention: they consequently did not have any observations to make in response to the SNPIET's comments.

Januar 2003 hat die Syndicat National des Producteurs Indépendants d'Electricité Thermique (SNPIET) Stellungnahmen an die Kommission gerichtet im Rahmen des offenen formellen Prüfverfahrens darüber, dass EDF im Jahr 1997 die Körperschaftsteuer für einen Teil der Rücklagen nicht gezahlt hat, die im Rahmen der Steuerfreigrenze für die Erneuerung des RAG gebildet wurden. [EU]	By letter dated 6 January 2003, the National Association of Independent Thermal Electricity Producers (SNPIET) submitted comments to the Commission in the context of the formal investigation procedure initiated in respect of the non-payment by EDF, in 1997, of corporation tax on some of the accounting provisions created free of tax for the renewal of the RAG.
