Als das Literaturinstitut Johannes R. Becher nach der Wiedervereinigung 1990 abgewickelt werden sollte, erhob sich breiter öffentlicher Protest, der schließlich zur Neugründung als Deutsches Literaturinstitut Leipzig (DLL) führte.
