Der von der Union auf der fünften Tagung der Konferenz der Vertragsparteien des Rotterdamer Übereinkommens zu vertretende Standpunkt besteht darin, dass die Kommission im Namen der Union in Bereichen, die in die Zuständigkeit der Union fallen, die Annahme der Änderungen von Anhang III des Rotterdamer Übereinkommens über das Verfahren der vorherigen Zustimmung nach Inkenntnissetzung für bestimmte gefährliche Chemikalien sowie Pestizide im internationalen Handel im Hinblick auf die Aufnahme von Chrysotilasbest, Endosulfan, Alachlor und Aldicarb unterstützt.Artikel 2 [EU]

The position to be taken by the Union at the fifth meeting of the Conference of the Parties of the Rotterdam Convention is that the Commission shall, on behalf of the Union, as regards matters falling within the Union's competence, support the adoption of the amendments to Annex III to the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for certain hazardous chemicals and pesticides in international trade [3] as regards the inclusion of chrysotile asbestos, endosulfan, alachlor and aldicarb.Article 2

Um sicherzustellen, dass der Schutz des Rotterdamer Übereinkommens den Einfuhrländern zugute kommt, ist es erforderlich und angemessen, die Empfehlung des Chemikalienprüfungsausschusses hinsichtlich der Aufnahme von Chrysotilasbest, Endosulfan, Alachlor und Aldicarb in Anhang III des Rotterdamer Übereinkommens zu unterstützen. In order to ensure that importing countries benefit from the protection offered by the Rotterdam Convention, it is necessary and appropriate to support the recommendation from the Chemical Review Committee as regards the inclusion in Annex III to the Rotterdam Convention of chrysotile asbestos, endosulfan, alachlor and aldicarb.
