So kam der Baumeister Leo von Klenze, der das Stadtbild Münchens im 19. Jahrhundert unter König Ludwig I. am stärksten geprägt hat, aus dem Norden.Von den Münchnern zunächst befremdet "Nordlicht" genannt, kam er doch "nur" aus Norddeutschland, dem heutigen Niedersachsen. [G]

One mighty precursor was Leo von Klenze, a master-builder from "the North" who under King Ludwig I left the greatest mark on Munich's townscape in the 19th century. He was at first dubbed "Northern Light" and considered a stranger by the locals, though he was "only" from what is now Lower Saxony in northern Germany.

Studied at the University of Würzburg, member of Jugendjazzorchester der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (i.e., Youth Jazz Orchester of the Federal Republic of Germany), winner of diverse prizes, has done CDs with Hans-Peter Salentin and Hubert Winter, performed in trio with Stephan Schmolck and as duo with Heinz Sauer - one of those who actually ought to be an international star! Northerner Eva Kruse studied double bass first in Berlin and then in Sweden, is underway between electronic and acoustic music, between Göteborg and Weilheim.
