On 11 June 2005 Dr. Frantisek Miklosko, ex-speaker of the Slovak parliament, received the international Saint Adalbert Peace Prize in Budapest.

Mit diesen Worten schloss Frantisek Miklosko, ehemaliger Parlamentspräsident der Slowakischen Republik, seine Dankesrede anlässlich der Verleihung des internationalen Adalbert-Friedenspreises im Juni 2005 durch den ungarischen Staatspräsidenten Ferenc Mádl im prachtvollen Parlament von Budapest. With these words Frantisek Miklosko, ex-speaker of parliament of the Slovak Republic, concluded his acceptance of the international St. Adalbert Peace Prize in June 2005. The prize was presented by Hungarian President Ferenc Mádl in the sumptuous parliament building in Budapest.

Von 1990 bis 1992 war er Parlamentspräsident des ersten Slowakischen Parlaments und wirkte maßgeblich am Aufbau der Demokratie und der politischen Neuordnung seines Landes mit, unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Minderheiten in seinem Land. [G]

From 1990-92 he served as speaker of the first Slovak parliament and played a prominent part in establishing democracy and carrying out political reforms in Slovakia, with special consideration for the country's ethnic minorities.
