Der Erfolg gibt den Rosenheimer Bibliotheksmitarbeitern Recht: In dem von der Bertelsmann Stiftung und dem Deutschen Bibliotheksverband erhobenen Bibliotheksindex belegte die Stadtbibliothek am Salzstadel drei Jahre hintereinander - 2000, 2001 und 2002 - den stolzen ersten Platz in der Wertung für Städte mit 50.000 bis 100.000 Einwohnern. The library's success shows that the Rosenheim team's approach is working. In a nationwide survey of public libraries carried out by the Bertelsmann Foundation and the German Library Association, Rosenheim's library came out at the top of the league for three years in succession - 2000, 2001 and 2002 - in the category for towns with 50 000 to 100 000 residents.

Dresden deserves to win this prize - awarded for the fifth time by the German Library Association (Deutscher Bibliotheksverband) and the Ebelin and Gerd Bucerius ZEIT Foundation in October 2004 - thanks to its innovative concepts for the co-operation between libraries and schools.

Sicherlich spielten diese Eigenschaften der Mitarbeiter auch eine Rolle, als die SUB Göttingen vom Deutschen Bibliotheksverband zur "Bibliothek des Jahres 2002" gewählt wurde. [G]

The qualities displayed by the employees doubtless also played a part in the decision of the German Libraries Association to name the SUB Göttingen Germany's Library of the Year 2002.
