Oktober 2011 ernannten der Generalsekretär der Vereinten Nationen und die Regierungen der Russischen Föderation, des Vereinigten Königreichs und der Vereinigten Staaten als Mitträger der NVV-Resolution von 1995 zum Nahen Osten und die Verwahrstaaten des Vertrags in Konsultation mit den Staaten der Region den finnischen Staatssekretär Jaakko Laajava zum Moderator und benannten die finnische Regierung als Ausrichter der Konferenz 2012 über die Schaffung einer von Kernwaffen und allen anderen Massenvernichtungswaffen freien Zone im Nahen Osten. [EU]	On 14 October 2011, the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Governments of the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom and the United States, as co-sponsors of the 1995 NPT Resolution on the Middle East and depositary States of the Treaty, in consultation with the States of the region, appointed Under-Secretary of State Jaakko Laajava as Facilitator, and designated Finland as the host Government, for the 2012 Conference on the establishment of a Middle East zone free of nuclear weapons and all other weapons of mass destruction.
	Die Teilnehmer ermutigten die Union nachdrücklich, die Förderung des Prozesses zur Schaffung einer von Massenvernichtungswaffen freien Zone im Nahen Osten fortzusetzen, u.a. durch weitere ähnliche Initiativen im Vorfeld der vom VN-Generalsekretär und den Mitträgern der Resolution von 1995 einzuberufenden Konferenz von 2012. [EU]	Participants strongly encouraged the Union to continue to facilitate the process towards the establishment of a zone free of WMD in the Middle East, including through further similar initiatives prior to the 2012 Conference to be convened by the UNSG and the co-sponsors of the 1995 Resolution.
