Doze \Doze\, v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Dozed}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Dozing}.] [Prob. akin to daze, dizzy: cf. Icel. d[?]sa to doze, Dan. d[94]se to make dull, heavy, or drowsy, d[94]s dullness, drowsiness, d[94]sig drowsy, AS. dw[?]s dull, stupid, foolish. [?][?][?].
