      2. (Geol.) Alluvial and playa clays of desert and arid
            regions, differing from ordinary clays of humid regions in
            containing carbonates and other soluble minerals.

                  and pleasure, as an office.
            (b) Removable, as distinguished from perpetual; -- said of
                  an officer.
            (c) Given by a magistrate, as distinguished from being
