      Rodomonte, Rodamonte, a boasting hero in the [bd]Orlando
      Furioso[b8] of Ariosto, and the [bd]Orlando Innamorato[b8] of
      Bojardo; properly, one who rolls away mountains; Prov. It.
      rodare to roll away (fr. L. rota a wheel) + It. monte a
