NorCroft (Contraction of Norman + Mycroft) A company producing {C} compilers, set up by Arthur Norman and Alan Mycroft. Now "sort of" called Codemist. The original Norcroft compiler was written by Alan and Arthur to provide a {platform} for teaching languages and compilers on the {Cambridge University} {mainframe}.
