Vegetative \Veg"e*ta*tive\, a. [Cf. F. v[82]g[82]tatif.] 1. Growing, or having the power of growing, as plants; capable of vegetating. 2. Having the power to produce growth in plants; as, the vegetative properties of soil. 3. (Biol.)
