      p. pr. & vb. n. {Dissociating}.] [L. dissociatus, p. p. of
      dissociare to dissociate; dis- + sociare to unite, associate,
      socius companion. See {Social}.]
      To separate from fellowship or union; to disunite; to
      disjoin; as, to dissociate the particles of a concrete
      substance.
