               island of Nantucket. Its average rate of flow is said
               to be about two miles an hour. The similar Japan
               current, or Kuro-Siwo, is sometimes called the Gulf
               Stream of the Pacific.

            bacciferum}, or sea grape), having numerous berrylike air
