   Piassava \Pi*as"sa*va\, n. [Pg. piasaba.]
      A fibrous product of two Brazilian palm trees ({Attalea
      funifera} and {Leopoldinia Piassaba}), -- used in making
      brooms, and for other purposes. Called also {pia[87]aba} and
      {piasaba}.
