Twitter \Twit"ter\, v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Twittered}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Twittering}.] [OE. twiteren; of imitative origin; cf. G. zwitschern, OHG. zwizzir[?]n, D. kwetteren, Sw. qwitra, Dan. quiddre.
