      vb. n. {Twittering}.] [OE. twiteren; of imitative origin; cf.
      G. zwitschern, OHG. zwizzir[?]n, D. kwetteren, Sw. qwitra,
      Dan. quiddre. Cf. {Titter}.]

            noises.
