Since the draft order submitted by the Italian authorities provides for identical aid for bergamot essence and for bergamots as fruit, the Commission concludes that the advertising aid for bergamot essence may also qualify for the derogation provided for in Article 87(3)(c) of the Treaty as aid to facilitate the development of certain activities or of certain economic areas without adversely affecting trading conditions to an extent contrary to the common interest.
