Deutschland hat sich gemäß Artikel 7 der Verordnung (EWG) Nr. 2081/92 gegen die Eintragung ausgesprochen und dabei geltend gemacht, dass nicht angegeben wird, ob der Schutz des Begriffs "Ricotta" für sich genommen beantragt wird. [EU]

Germany objected to the registration under Article 7 of Regulation (EEC) No 2081/92 on the grounds that it was unclear whether the protection was also sought for the term 'Ricotta' on its own.

In accordance with the first subparagraph of Article 9(1) of Regulation (EC) No 510/2006, the Commission has examined Italy's application for the approval of amendments to the specification for the protected designation of origin 'Ricotta Romana' registered in accordance with Commission Regulation (EC) No 2400/96 [2], as amended by Regulation (EC) No 737/2005 [3].
