Das habe ich mir auch gedacht. That was exactly my thought.

Ich glaube, du schuldest mir eine Erklärung! I think you owe me an explanation!

Auch wenn das Wort oft diese Bedeutung hat, darf man nicht glauben, dass das immer so ist. Although the word does often have this meaning, it's a mistake to think it always does.

mit jdm. einer Meinung sein; jdm. zustimmen; jdm. Recht geben; mit jdm. übereinstimmen [geh.]; sich mit jdm. einig sein; (ganz) bei jdm. sein; mit jdm. konform gehen; mit jdm. d'accord gehen [Ös.] [geh.] {vi} (in einer Sache / in der Frage +Gen.); es auch so sehen (wie jd.) to agree with sb.; to concur with sb. [formal]; to be in agreement with sb. [formal]; to see eye to eye with sb. (about/on sth.)

Da bin ich ganz/völlig deiner Meinung.; Da bin ich ganz bei dir. I quite agree.; I agree completely.; I couldn't agree more.; I'm fully behind you on this.

"Ganz meine Meinung", sagte er zustimmend / stimmte er zu. 'My opinion exactly', he concurred.

Ich schließe mich an. I concur.

Sind also alle einverstanden? Are we agreed then?

Da muss ich ihm Recht geben.; Da hat er nicht Unrecht. I can't help but agree with him (on this / on this one).

Jugendliche und ihre Eltern sind selten einer Meinung. Teenagers and their parents rarely agree.

Wir sind nicht immer derselben Meinung. We don't always agree.

Wir sind natürlich nicht überall einer Meinung. We don't agree on everything, of course.

In einigen Punkten waren wir uns einig, in anderen (wieder) nicht. We agreed about some things, but we disagreed about others.

Darin sind sich alle Wissenschaftler einig. All scholars are in agreement on this matter.; All scholars agree on this.

Es müssen nur neun der zwölf Geschworenen einer Meinung sein. Only nine of the twelve jurors have to concur.
