Grammar for advanced users
The
Chemnitz Internet Grammar (CING)
was developed at Chemnitz
University of Technology for advanced learners of English. You can check
whether it is suitable for you by completing a simple PlacementTest
(click on the option in the frame on the left).
CING is written completely in English and gives you not only the usual
explanation approach "from rule to example", but also the other way
round, a discovery approach "from example to rule" and various exercises
for grammar chapters, which are particularly difficult for German
learners: tense/aspect, relative clauses, conditional structures,
prepositions and nouns.
It also allows you to search for additional examples of authentic
English - German translations and idioms in the databank
"CorpusSearch".
